There is an urgent need to represent the American People first, not big business, special interests or foreign lobbies. In Congressional District 15's special election, 2.2 million dollars was spent barraging us with negative campaign ads and partisan posturing while hardly a single issue of real substance was raised. Not surprisingly, turn out was less than spectacular as 73% of the registered voters avoided the polls.

This campaign will focus on our nations vital economic issues, for example, trade reform: For decades we have practiced "free trade" under the guise of gaining greater markets abroad only to find that we have lost larger markets here at home (hence our trade deficit). Instead of exporting our domestic made goods, we have been exporting our jobs (while cheap labor is exploited abroad). We must have a vision for the future and it can't be the same as the past.

Our vision of the future can come to fruition, if we look beyond the campaign rhetoric of the past. Mudslinging must not be honored with our vote. We must force candidates and elected officials to focus on the real issues of jobs, the economy and taking big money out of politics.

It's Time for Reform. Let's start in the 15th Congressional District. A Vote for Valli Sharpe-Geisler for Congress will do just that.
